Why does this matter when buying a used BMW?
Because the car is usually not where you are. A Romanian buyer imports from Germany. A Polish buyer flies to Italy. A Croatian buyer looks at a Spanish import. The records exist in every one of those cases, but until now the person paying could not always read them.
Two things change with eleven report languages. You can read the full history in the language you think in, which is where mistakes get avoided. And you can order it in the seller's language, which makes for a short conversation with a dealer who suddenly knows you can see what he sees.
Does the language change what is in the report?
No. The content is identical in all eleven: service history, mileage overview, technical campaigns, warranty, factory equipment and retrofits, plus the Report Summary with its 0 to 100 condition score.
The score comes from fixed rules applied to the car's own records, so the same car always gets the same number. Only the words around it change.
Why eleven report languages but eight site languages?
Different jobs. A site version has to rank in local search and carry local pricing, which takes weeks per language. A report just has to be understood by the person holding it. So Spanish, Italian and French reports are available now, ahead of the site pages for those markets.
How do I switch?
The country selector in the header changes the site and remembers your choice. The report language is a separate choice at checkout. Prices show in local currency where we support one, with the OFF10 discount already applied.
One thing worth saying plainly: support is handled in English only. The site, the report and the checkout are localised, the inbox is not.
