These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the services provided by CheckVIN.eu (“CheckVIN”, “we”, “us”), including the generation and delivery of vehicle information reports (the “Reports”) through the website https://checkvin.eu (the “Website”).
By accessing, purchasing, or using the Website or any Report, you (“User”) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the Website immediately.
These Terms supersede any prior version and incorporate all required disclosures under applicable EU and national laws, including consumer protection and digital services regulations.
CheckVIN provides digital reports containing aggregated information related to BMW, MINI, and Rolls-Royce vehicles, based on the vehicle identification number (“VIN”) supplied by the User. Reports are delivered electronically only.
The User is not required to create an account. To obtain a Report, the User must:
2.2.1 Enter the VIN and email address,
2.2.2 Complete payment through Stripe Checkout,
2.2.3 Receive the Report link via email.
After payment confirmation, the User will receive an email containing a link to access the purchased Report, typically within one minute.
Each Report remains accessible for 30 days from the date of delivery. Upon expiry, the Report can no longer be accessed. A new purchase is required to regain access.
If the User purchases Reports for multiple VINs within the same transaction, each VIN will generate a separate Report and a separate delivery email.
CheckVIN does not access, query, integrate with, or retrieve data from BMW AG’s internal databases, systems, or infrastructure.
All vehicle information displayed in the Reports is obtained through a licensed third-party data providers, which aggregates information originating from authorized automotive service centers and other lawful data sources.
CheckVIN does not verify, validate, edit, or modify the data received from the third-party provider. Reports display the information “as received”, and certain data elements may be approximate, incomplete, or outdated.
The Reports are not official BMW AG documents, nor do they constitute manufacturer-validated service history. They are informational summaries generated independently by CheckVIN using third-party sources.
The User acknowledges and accepts that:
4.1.1 Vehicle information may be missing, delayed, incomplete, approximate, or inaccurate;
4.1.2 Data may contain discrepancies compared to real-world vehicle conditions;
4.1.3 Information from certain service centers may not be available.
Reports are provided strictly for general informational purposes and do not constitute:
4.2.1 Purchase recommendations,
4.2.2 Mechanical or technical advice,
4.2.3 Legal opinions,
4.2.4 Professional vehicle evaluations.
Any decision made on the basis of a Report is taken solely at the User’s own risk.
CheckVIN does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Website or the permanent availability of any Report. Temporary unavailability may occur due to maintenance, system updates, or third-party outages.
Payments are processed exclusively through Stripe Checkout. Accepted methods may include, depending on availability:
5.1.1 Credit and debit cards,
5.1.2 Apple Pay,
5.1.3 Google Pay,
5.1.4 Revolut Pay,
5.1.5 Other digital wallets supported by Stripe.
All prices are displayed on the Website. Taxes, if applicable, will be included or added according to the jurisdiction.
By purchasing a Report, the User requests immediate digital delivery and acknowledges that the statutory 14-day EU right of withdrawal for digital content does not apply once the Report has been delivered (EU Consumer Rights Directive).
Refunds will be granted automatically whenever any of the following conditions is met:
5.4.1 The Report was not delivered to the User’s email address after successful payment, and our system confirms a delivery failure.
5.4.2 A critical system error prevented the Report from being generated successfully.
5.4.3 The Report contains no service history entries, meaning that no authorized-service data was returned from the third-party provider and the result is an empty history output.
All refund decisions under the conditions above are processed automatically by our system without requiring additional action from the User.
Each situation outside these specific cases will be evaluated individually and assessed in accordance with applicable EU consumer protection laws.
All content, software, code, graphics, text, databases, and trademarks displayed on the Website or within the Reports are owned by CheckVIN or its licensors.
Users receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and view Reports for personal use only.
Users may not:
6.3.1 Reproduce, distribute, resell, or publish any Report,
6.3.2 Use Reports for commercial redistribution without explicit written consent,
6.3.3 Reverse engineer or extract data for competitive or bulk-processing purposes.
BMW, MINI, and Rolls-Royce are registered trademarks of Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (“BMW AG”).
CheckVIN is not affiliated, endorsed, approved, or authorized by BMW AG or any of its subsidiaries.
No part of the CheckVIN Service shall be interpreted as representing official manufacturer data or an official vehicle history.
The Website, the Services, and all Reports are provided strictly on an ‘as-is’ and ‘as-available’ basis. CheckVIN makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to any warranties of accuracy, completeness, timeliness, availability, merchantability, non-infringement, or fitness for a particular purpose.
CheckVIN does not guarantee that any data contained in a Report reflects the current, real, or complete condition of a vehicle, nor that the information is free from errors, omissions, delays, or inaccuracies. No oral or written information or advice provided by CheckVIN shall create any warranty unless expressly stated in these Terms.
By using the Services, the User acknowledges and accepts that any reliance on the Reports is entirely at their own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted under applicable law, CheckVIN shall not be liable for:
8.1 Any decisions made based on a Report;
8.2 Inaccuracies, omissions, or delays in data provided by third-party sources;
8.3 Loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities, or vehicle value;
8.4 Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
CheckVIN’s total liability for any claim relating to a specific Report shall not exceed the amount paid for that Report.
Users agree not to:
9.1 Use the Reports in a misleading manner that may imply affiliation with BMW AG;
9.2 Falsely represent the Reports as OEM or manufacturer-verified documents;
9.3 Engage in unauthorized scraping, harvesting, or high-volume automated queries;
9.4 Isuse the Website in violation of law or these Terms.
CheckVIN may send the following communications to the User:
10.1 Transactional emails (order confirmation, payment confirmation, Report delivery),
10.2 Reminder emails for incomplete orders,
10.3 Follow-up emails requesting a review after 24 hours,
10.4 Marketing emails only where the User has provided valid consent.
All processing of personal data is conducted in accordance with the CheckVIN Privacy Policy.
CheckVIN may update the Website, Reports, or these Terms at any time to comply with legal requirements, improve functionality, or adapt to operational changes. Users will be informed of material changes. Continued use of the Website constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
CheckVIN shall not be held liable for delays or failures resulting from events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, cyberattacks, power outages, or third-party system disruptions.
These Terms are governed by and interpreted under the laws of the European Union and Romania.
Any disputes arising from the use of the Website or the Services shall be resolved by the competent courts in Romania.
