What does a generic VIN check usually include?
Identity and registration data: model, year, sometimes theft or damage register entries and odometer readings from roadworthiness inspections. Useful, but it says very little about how a BMW was actually maintained.

Which parts of the report should I read first?
- The Report Summary, with the 0 to 100 score and the points to check at inspection.
- The mileage line. It should only ever rise.
- Gaps in the service history. Anything over two years deserves a question.
- Open technical campaigns.
- Factory options and retrofits against the listing.
When is a free check enough?
